The aim of this study was to investigate mechanisms reducing dependence on government with regard to supplemental health insurance and provide high-quality and standard services in the country. Methods: This research was conducted using a library method, in which the required information was collected through valid domestic and foreign sources and the Internet. Results: The present study investigated status of treatment insurance and the related problems in Iran. Iran’s health status was assessed by investigating the health indicators offered by the World Health Organization.
